Drodzy Koleżanki i Koledzy,

Zapraszamy Państwa do wzięcia udziału w III Międzynarodowym Kongresie Polskiego Towarzystwa Uroginekologicznego, który odbędzie się 26 i 27 maja 2017 roku w Hotelu Courtyard Gdynia Waterfront.

Nietrzymanie moczu i obniżenie narządów miednicy mniejszej są jednymi z najbardziej rozpowszechnionych problemów zdrowotnych współczesnych społeczeństw. Według statystyk dotykają one nawet jednej trzeciej populacji europejskiej, co w polskich realiach stanowi około 13 milionów osób, w większości kobiet. Wystąpienie tych wstydliwych dolegliwości, często bardzo ograniczająca aktywność i funkcjonowanie społeczne. Szczególnie narażone są kobiety po porodach drogami natury i w okresie pomenopauzalnym. Wraz z rosnącą świadomością o możliwości leczenia nietrzymania moczu i stolca, pomocy u Państwa będzie szukać coraz więcej pacjentów obu płci.

Podczas Kongresu zostanie zaprezentowana dostępna dziś wiedza na temat zachowawczego i zabiegowego leczenia obniżenia narządów miednicy mniejszej, nietrzymania moczu i stolca adresowana do lekarzy, fizjoterapeutów oraz położnych i pielęgniarek. Uczestnicy Kongresu będą mieli możliwość zapoznania się z aktualnymi wskazaniami do diagnostyki uroginekologicznej: zostaną przedstawione nowoczesne zasady kwalifkacji do terapii, umożliwiające jak największą skuteczność leczenia i pozwalające jednocześnie na zminimalizowanie ilości nawrotów choroby i powikłań. Nie zabraknie warsztatów praktycznych z zakresu uroginekologii, przedstawione zostaną zabiegi komentowane przez operatorów. Poza leczeniem operacyjnym ważne miejsce zajmą tematy związane z profilaktyką, fizjoterapią i leczeniem zachowawczym chorób dna miednicy. Światowe i europejskie trendy oraz aktualne wytyczne przedstawią eksperci polscy i zagraniczni.

Tak ułożony program pozwoli na kompleksowe spojrzenie na problemy uroginekologiczne od profilaktyki, poprzez nowoczesną diagnostykę po możliwe dziś sposoby leczenia: zaowocują one dużą skutecznością terapii u Państwa pacjentów.

Dear Collegues,

We cordially invite you to participate in the III International Congress of the Polish Urogynaecological Society, to be held on May 26 and 27, 2017 in the Gdynia Marriott Waterfront Hotel.

In modern societies, urinary incontinence and pelvic relaxation are among the most prevalent ailments in adult women. According to various statistics, at present up to a third of the European population may be so affected, which translates into a poignant figure of approximately 13 million patients in Poland alone.

The conditions in question are well known to be highly intimidating, restraining the physical activity of the patient, and have a tremendous negative social impact. In women, risk factors of particular note include a history of vaginal parturition(s) and presence of menopausal symptoms. With increasing awareness about possible therapeutic options for their treatment, and of urinary and fecal incontinence in particular, more and more patients of both sexes will be seeking our assistance in these measures in the future.

During the III International Congress of the Polish Urogynaecological Society, the most up-to-date and practical knowledge on medical and surgical approaches in the management of uterine descent and urinary and fecal incontinence will be presented by distinguished speakers to a broad audience of physicians, physiotherapists, midwives, and nurses. Participants will have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with current indications for urogynecologic assessement, eligibility for treatment, and state-of-the-art treatment modalities with the highest efficiency and lowest side effects, complications, and recurrences. We highly recommend our practical workshops where experienced surgeons with hands-on experience will present their tricks of the trade. A prominent place will be reserved for innovative surgical procedures, yet physiotherapeutic approaches and conservative treatments of the pelvic floor will also be highlighted. World and European trends in urogynecology, together with respective guidelines, will be presented by both Polish and foreign experts.

As you see, the program of the Congress has been arranged to provide a holistic look at urogynecologic problems, from preventive measures via state-of-the-art diagnostic tools to an array of modern therapeutic modalities, all this with the aim to provide you with the most efficient means to treat patients.
